The Concours Mondial de Bruxelles is one of the world’s most prestigious wine competitions. At the 33rd edition, international panels of expert judges conducted blind tastings of around 6,700 wines from 50 countries over three days in the Armenian capital, Yerevan. Switzerland celebrated a particular success: the ‘New Emotional Wine 0 % Blanc’ from La Vigneronne (VD) was awarded the international ‘Révélation No-Low’ prize.
The award is regarded as a milestone for the Swiss wine industry. Just a few years ago, the alcohol-free wine segment played hardly any role at all. Today, demand is growing worldwide. The fact that a Swiss product has reached the very top in this category underlines the innovative strength of the country’s producers.
For La Vigneronne, it was an all-round successful competition. All four No-Low wines entered were awarded a medal. The Vaud-based company has thus impressively confirmed the quality of its alcohol-free product range and positioned itself as a pioneer in a dynamically growing market segment.
Switzerland also achieved outstanding results in the traditional categories. In the red and white wine session, 143 Swiss wines were entered. Of these, 60 received an award – an impressive success rate of 42 per cent.
Alongside La Vigneronne’s alcohol-free wine, two other Swiss wines were among the big winners: The ‘Les Grands Nobles 2023’ from the Vaud-based Cave de Bovanche won a Grand Gold medal and was awarded the ‘Switzerland Revelation’ distinction.
A Grand Gold medal was also awarded to the ‘Syrah “Madame de” 2024’ from Domaine du Mont d’Or SA in Valais.
Furthermore, Swiss wines secured 26 gold medals and 31 silver medals.
Swiss producers had already impressed at the sparkling wine session. Twelve wines were entered there, winning five medals:

The results demonstrate once again that Swiss wines can hold their own against international competition. Whilst countries such as France, Italy, Spain and Portugal traditionally field the largest number of entries, Swiss wines regularly manage to achieve above-average success rates.
Particularly pleasing is the diversity of the award-winning wines – ranging from classic reds and whites to sparkling wines and innovative non-alcoholic products. The successes at the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles confirm the high quality and innovative strength of Swiss viticulture.
The Concours Mondial de Bruxelles was founded in 1994 and is now one of the most prestigious international wine competitions. Every year, over 15,000 wines are judged in various competition sessions. The tastings are conducted exclusively as blind tastings by professional judges from all over the world.
For the award-winning producers, the medals offer valuable international visibility and confirm the quality of their wines at the very highest level.
