Join us on Saturday 30 May for the 39th edition of Open Cellars! Organised by the canton’s winegrowers, this iconic annual event offers a unique opportunity to experience the interplay between city and countryside, at the heart of the Geneva wine region.
As Switzerland’s third-largest wine-producing canton, Geneva stands out for the richness and diversity of its landscapes. The vineyards stretch across three main regions: the Mandement (Satigny, Dardagny…), the area between the Arve and the Rhône (Lully, Bernex, Soral…) and the area between the Arve and the Lake (Jussy, Anières, Gy…).
On Saturday 30 May, over 70 wineries will open their doors to the public. Visitors will be able to discover the remarkable 2025 vintage, as well as the 2024 vintages aged in barrels. This day will also be an opportunity to stroll through the wine-growing villages and explore the unique characteristics of each region.
The day pass, available for 20 francs directly at the wineries, takes the form of an original badge designed by the internationally renowned cartoonist Patrick Chappatte, who also created this year’s poster.
This pass includes the traditional glass engraved with the canton’s coat of arms, specially designed for optimal tasting.
