In September and October, the Schaffhausen Pinot Noir region celebrates its autumn festivals. The villages are spruced up and decorated in bright colours. During the cheerful festivities, barns are transformed into cosy taverns, village squares and vineyards are bustling with activity, and the new vintage bubbles away in most cellars and wine presses.
Every year, on the first Sunday in October, the traditional autumn festival takes place in Gächlingen. Here, the emphasis is on a down-to-earth and folksy festival that offers visitors an insight into life in the Klettgau region.
