From the New York Times Center to a lecture hall of more than 1,000 students, Swiss wine is making its case to North American audiences this week.
And the world can join in. This Friday, 6 November, at 13:00 EST (19:00 CET), Cornell University’s eCornell broadcasts High Altitude, Hidden Gems: Alpine Wines Revealed, a free live keynote tasting with Wine Storyteller, Writer and Educator Marc Checkley and Teaching Professor Cheryl Stanley of Cornell’s Nolan School of Hotel Administration.

The broadcast is the highlight of a tour organised to bring the wines of Vaud, Valais, Neuchâtel and Graubünden to new and younger audiences. Swiss winemakers, Cornell and various New York venues are supporting it.
After a sold-out masterclass at Manhattan’s Community Wine & Spirits on 2 November, today, 4 November, more than 900 Cornell first-year hospitality students and 150+ advanced students will discover and taste the Swiss and Alpine wine stories.
On 7 November, Marc leads pop-up masterclasses for 200+ guests at the Hotel Society’s annual reception at the New York Times Center. A rare magnum of Jean-René Germanier’s Cayas 2020 is up for auction that evening.
Following this, Marc heads to London, where on 11 November he hosts a Chasselas and Pinot Noir masterclass, organised by Simon Hardy, at iconic Mosimann’s.
