Swiss wine will be presented to an international audience at the Swiss Pavilion at the Expo 2025 world exhibition in Osaka, Japan (13 April to 13 October). Swiss Wine's presence at this global event underlines the importance of Swiss viticulture as part of the country's national identity and culture of enjoyment.
As an official partner of Presence Switzerland, Swiss Wine is making an important contribution to raising awareness of the diversity and quality of domestic viticulture in an international context. The Expo offers a unique platform to focus on topics such as innovation, sustainability and cultural ties – all aspects that characterise Swiss viticulture.
A special event at the Swiss Consulate in Osaka focused on the future of agriculture. The discussion centred on sustainable cultivation and production methods, which are becoming increasingly important – also in viticulture.
A festive celebration was held in the pavilion to mark Swiss National Day. In the presence of Federal Councillor Ignazio Cassis, the exhibition ‘My Name is Heidi’ was opened – an initiative as part of #VitalitySwiss. The presentation was intended as a tribute to Swiss values and traditions and provided the ideal setting for a toast with a glass of Swiss wine.
Swiss Wine's participation in Expo 2025 marks the beginning of an exciting journey. Further experiences, encounters and taste sensations will follow in the coming months – with the aim of continuing to successfully present Swiss wine on the world stage.
