A glass of wine, a sweeping view of the vineyards and a night surrounded by nature: Grape Escapes makes it possible. The offer is a collaboration between Switzerland Tourism and Swiss Wine and combines the best of Swiss wine culture with exceptional accommodation. In summer 2025, the project will expand to include three new locations.

A night among the vines

Wine tourism in Switzerland has many faces, but Grape Escapes gives it a unique touch. Since 2024, selected accommodations in the heart of vineyards have made it possible to experience the country's wine regions up close: with a view of the vines from your window, a walk through nature and a glass of wine in the evening, right where it was grown. Whether rustic or modern, cosy or unusual, each accommodation stands for authenticity, closeness to the region and a stylish culinary experience.

The idea behind it: those who love Swiss wine don't just want to drink it, they want to be where it is made. Grape Escapes makes this possible.

New from summer 2025: three locations, three experiences

This summer, three very different accommodations will be added to the existing selection of around 60 addresses – each nestled in its own wine region, each with its own character.

Schloss Arenenberg

Hotel Arenenberg – elegance on Lake Constance

The Hotel Arenenberg is located directly on the shores of the Untersee, the western section of Lake Constance. It combines stylish hospitality with a historic backdrop, as the accommodation is just a few steps away from the castle where Napoleon III spent part of his childhood and youth.

Surrounded by vineyards and gardens, the hotel offers a magnificent view of the lake. The region is known for its fresh, fruity white wines such as Müller-Thurgau and Sauvignon Blanc. Winegrowing has a long tradition at Arenenberg. Even in Napoleon's time, the hotel pressed its own wine, and guests can still enjoy the wine in a variety of ways today.

The Arenenberg Winery offers direct sales in the wine cellar and tastings. A vineyard trail invites you to explore the surrounding area.

Bovel Grape Escapes

Bovel holiday apartment – a retreat with a view

The Bovel holiday apartment is located in the village of Fläsch in Graubünden, surrounded by the Bündner Herrschaft. Furnished in a country house style with great attention to detail, it is a place for people who are looking for authenticity. The vines of the Daniel & Monika Marugg winery reach right up to the walls of the house, and the large windows open up to a view of the Heidiland.

The region is famous for its Pinot Noir, but white wines such as Pinot Gris and Chardonnay also thrive here. The holiday apartment is ideal for couples or small groups of up to four people who want to get away from it all – and experience the best of the Graubünden wine region.

Bubble Hotel Capriasca

Bubble Suite Capriasca – sleep under the stars

If you are looking for a truly extraordinary experience, you will find it in Ticino. The transparent Bubble Suite is idyllically situated above the vineyards of the village of Cagiallo in Capriasca, a hilly region north of Lugano. It offers unobstructed views of the starry sky – while providing comfort and privacy.

The south of Switzerland not only offers Mediterranean lightness, but also full-bodied Merlots and aromatic white varieties. Here you can enjoy summer with all your senses: during the day with a walk through chestnut forests and vineyards, in the evening with a glass of wine under the open sky.

The suite is run in collaboration with a bed & breakfast that offers its guests access to a jacuzzi and sauna. Guests can visit the San Matteo winery, tour the vineyards and cellars, and take part in tastings.

Discover wine where it comes from

With Grape Escapes, wine enjoyment becomes a holistic experience. Switzerland offers a variety of wine regions that are worth discovering – from sunny Ticino to the Lake Constance region and the Grisons.

Switzerland. Naturally.
