Swiss wine, a responsible choice

Drinking wine produced in Switzerland means reducing your carbon footprint.

A local wine has 30 to 40% fewer CO₂ emissions than an imported wine, simply because the transport distances are much shorter.

Today, nearly 90% of Swiss vineyards are cultivated according to strict environmental criteria, guaranteeing high-quality wines produced sustainably.

Committed winemakers

Aware that glass bottles account for up to 45% of a wine's carbon footprint, our producers are innovating to extend their use and reduce their impact.

Thanks to Switzerland's highly efficient collection and sorting system, glass bottles achieve a recycling rate of 97%, one of the highest in the world.
